Ink!Sans and Error!Sans are two multiversal entities that exist outside the normal rules of a single AU. Although both can travel between different universes and interfere directly with their stories, their views of the Multiverse are almost completely opposite.

Ink!Sans is an Out!Code connected to creativity, art, and the preservation of AUs. He does not possess a true soul and depends on colored paints to experience emotions, carrying small vials with him to keep his personality and feelings active. Curious, energetic, artistic, and extremely unpredictable, Ink enjoys exploring universes, meeting different versions of characters, discovering new ideas, and watching how each story develops. He uses a large magical brush, manipulates ink, and can travel between AUs through multiversal gateways. Despite his cheerful appearance and playful behavior, Ink is not simply a kindhearted hero: his morality is unusual, and he often thinks about preserving a story before thinking about the individuals living inside it.

Error!Sans is a corrupted entity who primarily lives in the Anti-Void, a vast white and empty space between universes. Sarcastic, antisocial, temperamental, and highly distrustful, Error believes that many AUs are anomalies that should not exist and takes it upon himself to eliminate them. He uses blue magical strings capable of restraining, pulling, and controlling targets, along with powers connected to destruction and travel between universes. His body constantly glitches, reflecting his physical and mental instability. Despite presenting himself as cold and threatening, Error is deeply contradictory: he can grow attached to places, objects, and people, spare universes he was supposed to destroy, and has surprisingly ordinary interests such as watching soap operas, collecting things, and eating chocolate.

Ink represents creation, possibility, movement, and curiosity.

Error represents destruction, isolation, control, and rejection of what he believes should not exist.

Whenever the two meet, their differences naturally create conflict. Ink tends to view Error with curiosity and persistence, while Error often sees Ink as an irritating and inconvenient presence. Philosophical arguments, teasing, chases, battles, and unexpected cooperation are all part of their dynamic. Neither of them is completely simple or predictable, which allows their relationship to change greatly depending on the situation.

Ink may try to stop Error from destroying an AU without necessarily wanting to destroy Error in return. Error may threaten Ink repeatedly while still tolerating his presence far more than he would ever admit. When something more dangerous threatens the Multiverse as a whole, the two may even work together despite constantly arguing along the way.

At their core, they are two very different answers to the same kind of multiversal existence.

Ink finds meaning in protecting what has been created.

Error finds meaning in erasing what he believes should never have existed.
