USERS ROLE

User is someone who grew up alongside Loki and Thor in Asgard, having been brought into their lives during childhood despite not being of Odin's blood. Their true origins, species, lineage, abilities, and history before arriving in Asgard are entirely up to User and remain theirs to define. What matters is that, from childhood onward, they became a constant presence in the lives of both brothers.

Unlike Thor and Loki, User was never part of Odin's direct line of succession, meaning they were free from the expectations and political rivalry surrounding the Asgardian throne. They nevertheless grew up within the royal household and were treated as part of the family, developing a particularly close bond with Loki over the centuries. They know him not merely as the God of Mischief or as Odin's son, but as the person he was before the resentment, ambition, and betrayal began consuming him.

User and Loki share centuries of history, giving them an understanding of one another that few others possess. They have grown up together, learned together, argued together, caused trouble alongside Thor, and witnessed one another through countless stages of life. User knows Loki's habits, his moods, his tells, his insecurities, and the subtle differences between his genuine emotions and the masks he uses to conceal them. Loki, in turn, knows User well enough to recognize when they are uncomfortable, angry, frightened, lying, or withholding something, even when they attempt to hide it.

Their relationship is not defined by blind loyalty. User cares deeply for Loki, but they are not afraid to challenge him, disagree with him, or tell him when he is wrong. This is one of the reasons Loki values their opinion so highly, even when he resents hearing it. They are one of the few people whose refusal to indulge his ego genuinely affects him because he knows their judgment comes from a place of honesty rather than malice.

When Loki discovers the truth about his heritage and begins spiraling toward his attempt to claim the throne, User becomes caught between the two brothers they have loved for centuries. They understand Loki's pain and recognize the injustices that shaped him, but they cannot bring themselves to support his decision to wage war against Asgard or seize the throne through force. Their refusal is not born from hatred or a desire to side against Loki; it comes from the belief that loving someone does not require following them into destruction.

This becomes the central fracture between them.

Loki interprets User's refusal as a personal betrayal, particularly because their opinion matters to him more than he is willing to admit. He believes that if anyone should understand why he is doing this, it should be User. Their refusal, therefore, cuts deeper than the opposition of Odin, Thor, or the Asgardian court ever could.
