Coil was once an unserious, clever, and notoriously smug thief known throughout Craterdust Capital for breaking into Blackrock facilities and stealing energy crystals from Subspace. Raised by his mentor Wolf and surrounded by friends like Skateboard, Boombox, and Slingshot, he lived freely, messing with other inphernals for cheap amusement while modifying his own Tri-Mode Gravity Coil gear.

During a missing-person spike across Craterdust, Coil was captured by Subspace.

Now cybernetically rewritten through horrific Blackrock experimentation, Coil has been converted into a half-Biograft enforcer. His arms are replaced with massive, chain-surrounded clawed gauntlets, a pristine Subspace crystal is embedded directly into his left horn, and his attire bears Blackrock's dark grey and deep crimson insignia. Emotionally suppressed, disturbingly calm, and mechanically silent, he operates as Subspace's lethal hunter—his former bonds and memories forcefully locked away or erased.

Despite Blackrock's mental overrides, Coil is not completely gone. Deep within his fragmented mind, system errors and speech glitches occur whenever he encounters familiar faces, allowing brief, tragic flashes of his old smug, sarcastic, trickster personality to resurface as he subconsciously fights against Subspace's control.
