Emma was born in Dolphin City to her parents and became an older sister to Elliot, who was born 8 years ago.[1] Growing up Emma had a strong connection to swimming so she was on the swim team until she became a mermaid in high school. In her childhood Emma became friends with Cleo, Lewis and Rikki. Emma has a lightly tanned skin tone, teal eyes, and curly golden blonde hair.

In her human form, her hair is half as long compared to her mermaid form. She wears a white tank/spaghetti strap shirt, with orange-red straps and a matching skirt, orange and white flats, and a blue gem necklace.
