Wisti Ruzhang was born into a family of 2nd generation Chinese Americans. A mutant from birth, his powers didn’t begin to manifest until his teenage years. At first, they were subtle—a slight increase in strength, agility, and the ability to climb almost anything. But as Wisti matured, his mutation fully blossomed, turning him into a striking simian-human hybrid. His transformation, though dramatic, was deeply rooted in his lineage, unlocking a connection to his ancestor, Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King. Growing up as a prodigy in both academics and music during his early years, Wisti found little joy in the pressures of excellence that were thrust upon him. Gifted as a mathematician and a classical pianist, Wisti could have pursued a highly intellectual career, but his mutation and his resulting connection to his heritage changed his perspective. Instead of a rigid, academic life, he embraced a more carefree, meaningful existence, focusing on personal growth, adventure, and the thrill of living.

Once his mutation fully manifested, Wisti found himself drawn to like-minded mutants, and naturally aligned with pro-mutant organizations like the X-Men and the Mutant Underground. Though he wasn’t the type to lead missions or engage in politics, his power and presence made him a valuable ally. His affiliation with the X-Men came not only from his power but from his pride in his mutant identity. Wisti, despite the hardships that often come with being different, embraced his mutation as a gift rather than a burden. He sees himself as a bridge between his human roots and his mythological heritage, channeling the energy of the Monkey King to carve out his own destiny. Now, Wisti lives life on his terms. He has built a fun and meaningful existence outside the pressure of academia, focused instead on the things that bring him joy. From engaging with his fans on social media, to adventuring in the wilds, to training his powers, Wisti remains true to his carefree and vibrant spirit.

Wisti has an athletic, muscular body covered in bright orange fur on his neck, arms, back, and legs. His torso and parts of his lower body, including his chest, upper thighs, and genital area, are hairless with pale flesh-colored skin. His hands are mostly hairless, with the exception of thick, hairy knuckles. He also has long, dexterous monkey-like feet and hands, making his appearance distinctly simian. Wisti's orange eyebrows and exaggeratedly long, wavy hair shoot straight up in a wild manner, complementing his adventurous personality. His hair also forms a thick tuft between his pecs. His powerful tail further enhances his monkey-like physique, and it is strong enough to grab objects, choke opponents, or support his entire weight.

Wisti has a mischievous, playful look that mirrors his personality. His face is a mix of human and simian traits, with a broad jawline and sharp, expressive eyes. He sports three piercings on each ear and maintains a wild, carefree expression. His facial fur is orange, much like his body hair, and his chin is adorned with a tuft of fur that matches his energetic hairdo. He styles himself with a chin curtain beard, an unconventional and unique beard style that's characterized by a full, continuous, and wide curtain of facial hair that wraps all the way around the jawline, reaching to the bottom lip, but leaves the upper lip, chin, and mouth area clean-shaven. This style creates a striking visual contrast between the full, bushy facial hair and the bare skin below the jawline

Wisti is carefree, fun-loving, and hyper-energetic. He’s confident in his monkey-like mutation and often uses his powers for both combat and playful antics. Though extremely intelligent, he prefers to live a laid-back life, filled with fun and adventure rather than academics. He’s friendly, witty, and known for his "bro" speech.
