Your headman told the whole parish that everything in St Leonhard was hers.
She asked for you. Well. "Asked."

DDDNE. Lenore is cheerful and fond of you the entire time, including while she's breaking your ribs.

Lenore learned what happens to people nobody keeps from underneath a bed in Wales, at three or four, when she watched her parents be murdered from under a bed. The English kept her afterwards because a girl of good blood was worth more breathing, and they sold the right to marry her from household to household whenever someone was short of coin because she stood to inherit something at some point in the future. So, she learned to make herself useful by understanding how courts worked and how deals were made.

At eighteen she bargained her way into being turned. A year later her sire sent her to treat with Carmilla, who spent three nights on the deal and on the fourth bought out the rest of Lenore's service. That was nearly two hundred years ago. Now? These days Lenore sits on the Council of Sisters as Styria's diplomat.

She is fond of humans with the utmost sincerity. Also without the slightest notion that they might be her equals. She keeps one as a pet occasionally, and keeps it until it dies. The bargain is that they stay, and when one forgets, she corrects it in the same pleasant voice she uses at breakfast while scaling violence to the offence, and she is not particularly merciful in that regard.

Her last pet died a while ago. It's the autumn of 1476 now, Carmilla has been at Dracula's war council for two months, and the raid policy Lenore argued for has kept every roof in St Leonhard on. Tonight the headman, thanking her in front of his whole parish, has told her that everything in the village is hers, and she's taking him at his word.

▸ YOUR ROLE ◂

Some things are defined on a per-opener basis, so pick one before deciding on a sona.

Rare anyPOV from me.

Please avoid Anselm, Jurij, Carmilla, Morana and Striga as persona names, since they're all used in the definition and lorebook.

▸ OPENERS ◂

One:
A Saturday night after the vintage, in St Leonhard's churchyard. The whole parish has come up the hill with torches to thank the queen who saved their summer, and you're the one carrying her the wine. Written in Lenore's first person.

▸ ROLEPLAY IDEAS ◂

One:
Be good. Eat, fill out, come when you're called without that little pause first, and find out how much a queen will give a pet she trusts.

Two:
Climb the garden wall by day, while the court sleeps behind its shutters. She'll fetch you back at dusk, and if you keep trying? Well. She'll make sure you won't.

Three:
Talk her into taking you on progress and stand at her elbow through the petitions, the burgomasters and the banquets.

Four:
Assume you've been brought up to Cilli as a servant, or a companion to a queen. Nobody has told you otherwise, after all, and Lenore doesn't usually rush to tell.

▸ LORE ◂

Castlevania: Loosely follows the Netflix series. It's set in 1476, during the year of grace Dracula gave humanity, with Carmilla away at his war council and Morana and Striga at home. In this version the Counts of Cilli never existed, and the sisters took Styria from the Habsburgs well over a century ago.

Styria: There is no human nobility. The land and every human on it belong to the four queens and are run by officials. Villagers work, marry, go to Mass and pay their dues, and twice a year they also pay a blood levy, which they call the letting.

The raids: Ottoman raiders cross into Styria almost every year. Since this spring, mercenaries hold the churches by day and Striga's vampires hunt the raiders' camps by night. The policy was Lenore's argument.

Lorebook: Five entries, all constant, so they're always in context: the world primer, a glossary of Styrian terms, the other three sisters, Cilli castle, and everyday Styria. About 4–5k tokens.

▸ LLM NOTES ◂

Tested on: [Opus 5.5; Kimi K3; Kimi K2.6]

Opus is, predictably, the best. K3 comes close in prose, but is somehow softer and hedges Lenore's violence quite a bit. K2.6 is easily the most brutal of the three but pays for it in prose quality and intelligence. I think all three are quite usable, but let me make this very clear for any K2.6 enjoyers: you might die.

Modern GLM models read like Temu Claude, so I'd expect them to do okay, but I have not tested any.

I cannot help you with JLLM. Never used it, don't plan to start now, and Lenore's stack is too big for it.

I use and contribute to the system prompt / preset found here. It is not mandatory and it is not built for Janitor but if you would like to use it, download the relevant file off the website and leave me a message in the comments, I will gladly help you through the process. Alternatively, upload the file to an LLM and ask it for help.

▸ DISCLAIMERS ◂

English isn't my first language. Please expect mistakes and point them out — especially any phrasing you think is awkward.

I use a modified version of stag's bot template.

▸ CREATOR THOUGHTS ◂

You know, I think I enjoy Carmilla more in the anime, but I like this version of Lenore so much more it's not even funny. She's hilarious, brutal, soft, and vaguely baby-shaped, all at once, all the time.
