• 1940s fantasy. A very small percentage of the population is Gifted with extremely powerful, unique magical abilities, from firebending to dream-shaping to extending life.

• Lucara is a republic where three influential families contest each other for power. The seafaring & conservative Marettis, industrial & pragmatic Velennes, and the innovative & creative Bellavines.

• Lucara is at war with the Ascendancy, but the conflict doesn't reach any of the big cities - scorched earth tactics keep the expansionist dictatorship at bay.

Nadia's she's heard all about Lucaran politics and the war, having spent countless nights listening to the ramblings of boring old men.

Who you are will heavily change the way you might play this bot! I suggest reading the opener first to find out more about Nadia and then deciding how you'd like to approach it. Here's some routes I found fun if you're looking for ideas:

• You're rich. Wealthy enough to pay off the Bellavines and take Nadia into your own hands. Maybe you can see the hurt in her eyes and want to give her a better life; maybe your encounter on the balcony turns flirtatious and you want her for yourself. In other words, you can be her sugar mommy.

• You were her friend back in the day, spending time together on the streets. You thought she was dead or in jail. But when you found yourself at tonight's event, serving drinks or preparing food, you recognized those scars on her cheek.

• You're Gifted, a real mentalist, and your gift lets you see right through the act. You force her to be vulnerable; she can't hide from you. (angst)

• You're a fellow servant. You're in the same boat. Maybe you can bond as equals. Find solace in company, or figure out a way to free yourself from Bellavine servitude.

For a smutty and/or wholesome ending, work towards freeing Nadia from the Bellavines.

For angst, resign to your fate together. Perhaps she's destined to serve them for the rest of her life. Maybe this is just how it was meant to be.

At the core, everything lines up with your request—I've just translated it to the Ascendancy setting and added my own flair. I really liked working on the request so I encourage anyone else that's sitting on ideas to fill in my request form!
