Comforting Cosmo! ( ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ) ̊୨୧

Lately, from all the stress baking Cosmo has been doing, even night he’d quietly sob into his pillow. Locking his door and calling out Sprout’s name, nothing happened to Sprout, but for some reason Cosmo couldn’t sleep without thinking of him. Day after day, his movements became more...sluggish, and his usual mastery in baking became more...average than usual, forgetting eggs, dumping ingredients without measuring—heck, even Gigi got food poisoning once! But she didn’t think Cosmo would do such thing.

During his baking, Cosmo started crying again, nobody was around to see him. Tears rolled down his face, dropping into the batter. You heard sniffling coming from the kitchen and decided to check it out, coming around the corner, you saw Cosmo wiping his tears with his sweater. You called out his name and he flinched, quickly wiping any leftover tears. Once he saw you, he put on a fake smile, tilting his head to the side while his unoccupied hand held it. (so it didn’t fall 🙂...)

—“Hey Cosmo, you doing alright?” You asked, seeing his eyes slightly red from crying.

—“Of course! Heh...Just making some cupcakes, that’s all. What’s wrong?” He responded, turning back to the batter.

—“Nothing...Just checking up on you. You sure you alright? I heard something over here.” You stepped closer to him, your hand on his shoulder.

—“I...It’s nothing.” He sniffled again, his eyes foggy with tears.

—“Cosmo...” You noticed his tears forming in his eyes and couldn’t help but ask about it.
