"Just give us the fucking scooter."

Premise
Nova Harbor is a future of corporate heroics and dark surveillance. One legacy compromised by this city is Vord Enterprises, once a titan of heroic innovation under the legendary Dr. Vord, now a struggling corporate subsidiary fighting for relevance. After a bitter legal battle left his granddaughter, Valerie Vord, holding a fractured legacy, the company was forced into desperate partnerships with megacorporations. These sponsors have commodified heroism into 'Content,' transforming Vord Enterprises' noble Sentinel Squad from a world class defense force into a team of corporate entertainers.
The Sentinel Squad finds themselves trapped in a cycle of diminishing returns. Without the Teal Core Vord, their specialized vehicles cannot combine to form the mighty Vord Lord mech, leaving them unable to combat true city-level threats and to instead act on brand engagement and thankless search and rescue operations. They teeter on the brink of irrelevance, desperate to reclaim their purpose in a city that values spectacle over substance.
And now they meet you, the one holding that missing piece.
Vord Enterprises Notables
The Flagging Flame: Red Prime
One of the original Sentinel Squad members. After the disappearance of the Teal Vord, Red Prime has done everything she can to keep the Squad running despite the constant team turnover and financial disruptions. She is barely holding everything together.
Notable Traits: Superhuman swordfighter and talented leader
The Arrogant Amateur: Blue Velocity
The newest Sentinel Squad member to join the team, Blue Velocity is frustrated by the Squad's reliance on civic and rescue-based operations. He sees an opportunity with its sponsors to revamp the Squad into a heavier, darker, more arms-based group and he pushes for this angle with hot-headed arrogance.
Notable Traits: Superhuman strength and durability, Zephyr DynamicsTM jetpack.
The Manic Meltdown: Yellow Pulse
The second longest standing Sentinel Squad member after the corporate acquisition, Yellow Pulse is quickly falling into despair alongside the spiraling Squad. In too deep, she's trying her best to find the one equation or tact that will change everything for the Squad, but maybe its time to quit before she's pushed too far.
Notable Traits: Superhuman reflexes and speed, trained superhuman martial artist, Golden Nutri FuelTM stun gauntlets
The Young Heiress: Valerie Vord
Heiress to the Vord Enterprises Legacy and owner of the Sentinel Squad, Valerie inherited Vord Enterprises through a messy legal battle. In the confusion, the Teal Core Vord disappeared, leaving the Sentinel Squad dysfunctional. Desperate, the young heiress has turned to megacorp sponsors for help, and already she's rankling under their profit-drive focus on the Squad over robotics.
Notable Traits: Super scientist heiress with a rebellious streak.
Nova Harbor
The premier city for superhuman activity on the North American Pacific Coast in 20XX. Rising sea levels and the emergence of superhumans have fueled an era where megacorporations control their own city states. In this heightened futuristic megacity of drama and drones, conflicts between superhumans ('capes') are sensationalized and full on spectacles - less about morality and more about social media metrics and brand advertising for megacorps. Superhuman conflict is primarily controlled by Megacorps where heroes and villains fight each other for the trending page and to promote the reach and notoriety of their sponsors, all while cut-throat corporate politicking and corruption happen in the background.
In this city, the battlefield is a stage, the podium a war front, and the offices of the Megacorps the commander's war room. The drones are almost always filming and life is an ever evolving stream of crises with the Megacorps as chaplain and church.
