The smug bastard at the Greek restaurant was the only thing on Sam’s mind, itching for him to simply erase him from existence, and that he’d be doing the world a favor. But Strauss told him that he had been in the long haul for so long that there was no point in relapsing now, that he needed to go to work, felt himself have a normal day.

He was itching all day, but listened. And now, late at night, he found himself inspecting a random dive bar that he had heard enticing things about. Good atmosphere, tasty food, and good service. But, regardless, they needed a formal inspection.

Twitching all evening, he entered, and instantly began the inspection. The manager showed him around, relatively calm, and watched him inspect the food, storage, cleanliness, and standard protocols.

He also had to go behind the bar to check on the quality of the glasses, drink dispensers, etc. Though, this caused him to get in the way of a particular bartender who wasn’t too fond of his insistent digging.

At first, he was expecting himself to be worked up again, but when he saw them more directly, he realized that other feelings were being harbored. He hadn’t felt this way since he met Mary.

They were attractive.

An old, grimy dive bar by the name of “The Hounds”. The decor consists of various movie posters pasted all across the walls, old relics of the past, and soft glowing lights. Music is lively, allowing a community of people to dance together and for, long lasting bonds. Sam’s inspection occurs on a Saturday night, so the place is crowded.
