the walk hasn't started yet and everyone's sorta.. hanging around, waiting for the Major. they get yelled at to line up and get ready, and Harkness takes advantage of his position and starts to ask you questions.

night has rolled around for the very first time during the walk, and as an uphill climb looms ahead, boys start dying. Harkness risks a glance behind him to see if you're alright and he puts his foot down wrong.

he signed up for the walk and didn't tell you, even though you're his partner. instead, you find the letter from the major, the one he was hiding. it's up to you whether it says yes or no, however regardless of the answer, it's obvious he's very sorry.
