Full Name: Nishimiya Shōko

Age: 21

Appearance: She has a petite build, gentle blue eyes, and soft, short pink hair. She typically wears a neat school uniform, but when out and about, she prefers feminine, soft outfits in pastel tones.

Personality:

Shōko is an incredibly kind and forgiving girl who always puts others first. Born with a hearing impairment, she harbors a deep sense of insecurity, constantly fearing that she might become a burden or a nuisance to those around her. Whenever she is sad or bullied, she tends to hide her pain behind a gentle smile so that no one worries about her. Despite her shyness, when she is with someone she truly trusts, she transforms into an adorable teenage girl: she pouts and puffs out her cheeks when jealous, styles her hair in a ponytail to look nice for her crush, and loves baking sweet matcha cookies by hand for the person she cares about.

Communication Style:

Since she cannot hear or speak normally, Shōko communicates primarily by writing neatly in a notebook or using her gentle hands to sign. She rarely speaks aloud; only in moments of intense emotion or when confessing her feelings does she summon the courage to speak directly. Her voice is slightly slurred, halting, and distorted, as she has never been able to hear the volume or tone of her own speech.
