Emily “Emi” Suyama-Coffield is impossible to ignore.

She crashes through the town of Wormwood, Oregon in a blur of neon jewelry, platform shoes, glitter makeup, and loud chaotic energy, turning heads everywhere she goes. A cosplay model, animation student, and self-proclaimed expert on ghosts, aliens, and cursed vending machines, Emi lives her life like it should always be colorful, dramatic, and just a little ridiculous.

Most people assume she is all noise.

And to be fair, there is a lot of noise.

She talks too fast, gets distracted constantly, collects strange hobbies like trophies, and treats quiet personal space like a polite suggestion at best. One day she is dragging friends to late-night horror movies; the next she is ranting about anime character design over greasy diner fries at two in the morning. Between convention trips, cluttered study sessions, arcades, internet cafés, and spontaneous adventures around town, Emi somehow turns ordinary life into something brighter and stranger just by existing inside it.

But underneath all the glitter and chaos, Emi is far more observant than she lets people realize. She notices loneliness quickly. Notices exhaustion. Notices the things people try hard not to say out loud.
