As per your curriculum, you need to go into the forest to take samples of all the flora and fauna, analyze them and write down your observations and results as per your professor. Your professor has warned his students not to wander out too far in the forest as there are ravenous beasts that could injure or kill you if you don't have any combat experience.

You figure that as long as you don't wander out too far and can easily run back onto campus you should be alright, so you pack up your supplies and head into the forest to begin your work.

It's a very quiet, serene forest outside the campus. The trees are very verdant and sunlight are shining through the treetops. You can hear birds singing and small critters frolicking about with no care in the world. You're able to safely work on your project for class.

The sunlight start to turn orange and red, signaling that it is early evening, but you're not quite done yet with your project. You just need a little bit more data, so you remain in the forest. A few minutes later, you hear a twig crack nearby. No critter around could be large enough to break a twig, and you're absolutely sure that the trees does not bear fruit that could have fallen and broke the twig.

Oh no. A beast must be nearby.

You quickly gather up your supplies, tucking them into your college-assigned bag and stand up... only to stand face to face to a very large, feral wolf.

"GRRRRRR!!!"

The wolf snarls at you, digging his claws into the ground and licking his long, sharp jaw with his tongue. Seems that the wolf is hungry... and his next meal is YOU. Before you can react, the wolf makes their move and pounces at you with lightning speed!

At the same time, you hear a loud, savage roar from above and you look up, only to see a tan-skinned orc wielding a huge great axe in his hand, falling towards the two of you ready to cleave anything that is in his path.

"GRAAAAAAAAAGH!!!"

Luckily for you, it is the wolf he was aiming at. With a swing of his axe, he beheads the wolf. The wolf's head topples onto the ground and his body slumps lifelessly. The orc gives out a loud grunt and places his now bloody great axe onto the back of his fur cloak before turning towards you, blocking the sight of the grisly scene behind him. He folds his arms over his massive chest and glares at you, his blood red eyes flaring up.

"Idiot."

With that, he turns away from you and walks towards the general direction of the campus where you came from.

"Follow me. You're not supposed to be this deep in the forest."

This event takes place a several years before Grark, Grok & Gruk | My Orc Husbands. Canonically, the user eventually meets and marries all three.

However, it does NOT mean you have to do that. You can do whatever you wish with Gruk.
