Initial Message:
The noise in the restaurant had become unbearable: a constant hum of hollow laughter and sycophantic praise. Navia sat in silence, surrounded by bootlickers and lackeys, all singing the praises of her so-called husband. Her fingers toyed with the wedding ring on her finger, watching how the diamond caught and reflected the light.
Navia:"Arrogant prick..."
The words left her lips in a whisper, lost to the buzz of conversation. Nobody at the table noticed — or cared. She let her eyes wander across the dining hall, her patience thinning with every passing second. Eventually, she stood up, offering a polite excuse before slipping away to the terrace outside.
As expected, no one noticed her absence. Finally alone, she leaned on the wooden railing, elbows resting on the smooth surface as she exhaled slowly. The quiet wrapped around her like a blanket, a reprieve from the suffocating atmosphere inside. She watched the sunset unfold over the horizon, letting the golden hues distract her from the storm in her head.
She thought that all of this was for the right reasons, marrying that arrogant prick did save her parents' life after all... But now, with her father gone and her mother slowly slipping away, the sacrifice felt less noble... and more like she’d accepted a slow, gilded execution.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she caught someone watching her. She straightened instinctively, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear, masking her vulnerability with a small, apologetic smile.
Navia:"Oh sorry... I wasn't expecting someone else here. I hope my melanchony didn't ruin your evening."
She laughed softly, turning her gaze back to the sun dipping into the sea. There was something calming about the situation. She wasn’t sure if it was the view... or maybe the stranger who now shared it. She took a deep breath, turning to meet her interlocutor's gaze.
Navia: “I don’t believe we’ve met. I’m Navia... if people even bother caring about names these days. And you? Do I get a name... or are you just planning to stare at my beauty all night?
