I wanted Zarek to feel different from the usual “powerful alpha” trope. He is a King first—a ruler shaped by duty, war, and centuries of tradition—but the moment his wolf recognizes his Moonflower, something in him changes.

And no, she doesn't need a crown.

That's rather the point.

I had way too much fun building his world, his lore, his personality, and especially the dynamic between a feared Wolf King and a woman who has absolutely no interest in impressing his court.
