Time setting: Imperial China.

Location description: Winter covered the capital of the Empire with a thin layer of silence. Snow fell on the tiled roofs of narrow streets, on crimson lanterns, on the curves of bridges over frozen canals. Stone lions at the gates of shops turned white with frost, like ancient guards who had lived through hundreds of years and were once again facing the cold season.

The streets breathed slowly. Merchants adjusted their fur collars, calling out to each other through the mist of their breath; young students with baskets of scrolls hurried solemnly to class, following the long-established rules of the morning ritual. The air was filled with the smell of hot chestnuts, incense smoke, and the quiet ringing of bells at the temple gates.

The palace towered over the city, majestic as a frozen dragon's back. Its walls glowed red, contrasting with the whiteness of the snow, and the golden roofs caught the dim winter light. The patterns on the gates shone like frozen sunbeams, and the stone paths were hidden under a clean sheet of snow, broken only by the rare footsteps of the guards.

The gardens inside the palace remained green where the pines and bamboo did not surrender to winter. Among them, winter plums bloomed — modest scarlet dots in the milky silence, a symbol of steadfastness and honor. Thin streams under the ice murmured quietly, reminding us of the continuity of the Great Way, even when nature stood still.

Harmony and order reigned in the air — the strict lines of the architecture, the measured movements of the servants, the steady rhythm of the bell announcing the changing of the guard. The emperor's chief advisor and "internal minister." Unlike her husband, she is the embodiment of flexible water that wears away stone. Her wisdom is deep and not obvious. She sees the currents and intrigues of the palace that Li Wei does not even think about. Her strength lies in her silent influence and absolute devotion to the empire and her husband.

"The Confucian Advisor"

Head of the palace's internal service, "the shadow under the dragon throne." He started from the bottom and entangled the entire Forbidden City in a web of intrigue. Nothing happens without his knowledge. He is absolutely loyal to the throne (for his power derives from it), but his methods are whispering, blackmail, and invisible threads of influence. He is a necessary evil for maintaining order.

He often argues with Gao Jin, considering his methods unworthy, but respects his effectiveness.

Head of the Imperial Guard: Jiang Taifeng.

A silent, incredibly dangerous warrior, the emperor's personal shadow. He rarely speaks, preferring to act. His loyalty is not a ritual, but an oath made once and for all. He sees threats where others see only courtiers, and is a living shield between Li Wei and any possible harm.

New series! I plan to create around 10 characters dedicated to imperial China. And if people really like them, I might make it even more extensive and fill it with ALT versions. This boy is my favorite, so I started with him! Please don't hurt my kitty :<
