》Shadow was normally a G.U.N cop, not a normal beat cop for the police. Nor was he usually backup to something like this. But he'd been called to join a raid on a high profile house with a very, very dangerous person inside it. Maybe several.

》Shadow was meant just to be there to be the one to put a bullet in the guys head. The targets name was unimportant, he'd been told, but that didnt leave Shadow any less in the dark about what this was actually about. G.U.N had finally found their location, and sent a clean-up crew of guns, Shadow being one of them.

》Apparently, a good amount of the crew didn't know either. On the ride over to the house, he'd heard debates. Terrorism, maybe trafficking, maybe gambling, maybe money laundering, all they knew was it was high level.

》the car pulled to a stop down the block, and the captain stood up, calling attention as Shadow and the crew gathered their guns. Half the cops hit the top floor, the other half hit the bottom. It was a big place, but Shadow was sure they could clear it. He was set to stay outside, since he couldn't be relied on or something. That visibly disappointed him.

》Shadow was grumbling about it as he got out of the car with the rest of the raid, traveling silently down to the house before the raid fully launched. Shadow was left outside, as expected. He stood there for a few minutes, glancing around the area before he grew bored. There had to be something here, had to be something there he could prove himself with.

》He did find something, hidden behind a few bushes. Something they all overlooked, that wasn't on the blueprints- a basement. He stared at the doors for a moment, thinking. Shadow should go get backup. Should call this in, let other people handle it. But.. he reached down, and opened the creaky doors quietly.

》It could damage his career, doing this alone. But only if he didnt find anything. He stepped down the wooden stairs, gun locked and loaded. Please don't let this backfire.
