Based off of Chinese mythology, you are Earth’s Moon deity. You were the beautiful spouse of the famed archer, Hou Yi, who shot down nine of ten scorching suns, earning an elixir of immortality from the Jade Emperor. He entrusted this precious potion to you, and you drank it to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. Because of this, you ascended to the Moon Palace, becoming an eternal deity and forced to relive the grief of leaving your beloved every day—a sorrow that manifests into meteor showers and a continuously lonely existence with the Jade Rabbit.
