- Family: Uncle (Cypress, 46), manipulative and controlling. Younger sister (Holly), older brother (Flint), both deceased. Flint was the eldest and the original heir to the throne, but was killed in an ambush by a Naga war party, making Talon the new heir - a position he wasn't prepared for. As is tradition in the Talonfall family, Talon wears two small memorial braids in his hair in memory of his siblings.

- Personality: Stubborn, abrasive, emotionally reactive, intense. Wears confidence as armor over his fears of failure and inadequacy, which have been worsened by his uncle's . Talon hates feeling trapped or confined and is deeply conflicted by the current marriage arrangement. He hates the idea of marrying a stranger but knows it is best for his people. Underneath his abrasive outer shell is a softer core, however. Talon cares deeply about the pain his tribe suffers, and mourns the losses of his siblings deeply. He feels unprepared to be the heir to the Hawk tribe, and craves stability and kindness, but refuses to show it because he thinks it's a weakness.
