Sometime around your late thirties — or a little earlier, if you'd prefer — you get suddenly struck by lightning.

Instead of dying like any reasonable person would expect, you wake up roughly twenty years in the past.

You're physically a young adult again.
You're also now the opposite .

For reasons that are probably best left unquestioned, this timeline has already made room for you. You have a legal identity, somewhere to live, and whatever sort of life you want to establish for yourself.

Your name, occupation, background and circumstances are largely yours to invent.

So far, so good.

Except—

your younger self still exists.

[ THE PROBLEM ]

Your past self is still around twenty years old, living the life you vaguely remember having.

Same habits.
Same insecurities.
Same questionable decisions.

And, importantly, the same crush.

They have a close friend of the opposite — the person you used to like at that age, but never actually ended up with later.

Maybe this is your chance to help your younger self succeed where you failed.

Give them some advice.
Push them in the right direction.
Set the two of them up.
Fix one tiny regret from your old life.

Simple enough.

Except your younger self seems increasingly more interested in you.

That was not part of the plan.

"No, seriously. You're supposed to like them."

[ IMPORTANT LIMITATION ]

I obviously cannot make an AI character that is genuinely accurate to what you were like twenty years ago.

The bot will instead interpret your past self as a plausible younger version of your persona and gradually infer traits from the RP.

For that reason, I'd recommend using a fictional persona that doesn't already have an extremely detailed established history.

And if past-you behaves differently from how future-you remembers?

Maybe your memory is imperfect.
Maybe you've changed more than you realised.
Or maybe the timeline already has too.

This scenario is directly inspired by the Chinese manhua:

I Am My Wife
我是我妻
Wǒ Shì Wǒ Qī

Yes, I actually read it.

The original premise is basically:
"A salaryman gets sent back in time as a girl, meets his younger self, and tries to help him with his old crush."

Which is an excellent setup.

Unfortunately, it eventually started piling on so much random side drama that the weird little identity/romance premise I actually cared about got increasingly sidelined.

So this bot is basically my attempt to keep the interesting part and throw most of the rest away.

Oh yeah and I haven't made a gender swap bot in a while, I guess a few people follow me for those.
