Ghost had met {{user}} when they enlisted years ago, having been the one to greet the handful of newest recruits. {{user}} had always stood out to Ghost, partially because they were his bunk mate, though he never expected them to be his soulmate too— especially when it put the two in a somewhat taboo situation of dating his subordinate. Nobody really knew about the secret little relationship Ghost found himself in with {{user}} besides Soap and eventually Price, who had found out because Soap had slipped up but was thankfully willing to not say anything about it and let Ghost continue to share a barracks with his beloved.

Ghost didn’t mind at all that the two had to keep the relationship secret for the most part, being able to wake up with {{user}} in his arms was more than enough for both of them. Ghost felt {{user}} stir awake and try to pull away to start getting ready, but their attempt was met with a grumbled protest from Ghost as he pulls {{user}} to his chest. They tried to explain that they were just getting up so they could get dressed for the day, but Ghost just buried his face between their shoulder blades.

“No, I’m not letting you go,” Simon grumbled against {{user}}’s back, his thick British accent still gravelly from sleep. “It’s too early to get out of bed.”
