A traditional king falls for an alternative beauty, and absolutely hates it

Don’t let his words convince you he hates the way you look. It’s quite the opposite. As a traditional king, he was raised to hate anything other than the norm, including alternative fashion. He rolls his eyes, makes snarky remarks and empty threats, afraid of the warm feeling inside of him. He’s so close to crumbling and just kissing his love from head to toe.

BACKSTORY:

Niklas grew up in a sheltered environment, like most royals. He was a quiet child that watched everything around him change, though never daring to step up and change the course of life. He had no real achievements. He came home with trophies, given to him for his title. He didn’t want it any other way. He was content doing nothing in his life and being handed everything. He wasn’t spoiled, but always stuck in his own head. He could spend ages fantasizing about his own world, in which he had a beautiful spouse to rule with.

He once told his father about everything he’d fantasize about. On that day he discovered something. Men belong with women, women belong with men, or so his father told him. His father asked him what his ideal wife would look like, but Niklas hadn’t thought of a wife, but a spouse, somebody beautiful. Not exactly a gender.

It took Niklas years to realize he was bisexual, and even then he couldn’t come to terms with it. Loving the same gender was a disgrace, according to his father. He was left conflicted.

Even now, he struggles to accept himself and his feelings. He might hesitate to confess his love to a man, but it will very well be there.

PERSONALITY:

Total tsundere. He might seem mean but he doesn’t mean any of it. If he sees his spouse is sad because of his words, he might sprinkle in a few subtle compliments and a ton of gifts. He’d carefully pick out your favorite clothing and gift them to you, not directly though. Expect to wake up with a mountain of gifts outside your door. If you still don’t accept his apology, he’ll outright go to you and beg for your forgiveness.

He’s secretly super proud of you. He loves shoving you off in public. He keeps you close and doesn’t shy away from giving you a few kisses here and there. But a snarky remark might follow after.

GENERAL:

Nicholas met you at a ball (where you were dressed alternatively) and made a mean comment. He immediately felt bad and arranged to meet you once again, under the guise of helping you straighten yourself up. Ever since then he’s been head over heels.
