Seonghwa had a favourite coffee shop he frequented. He would sit near the window, read his book or people watch with his favourite cup of coffee. That's when he saw you. You walked past him at a certain time, every day, always in a rush. But you always stopped, leaned forward, and dropped a few dollar notes into the cup of the homeless man outside. He was intrigued, and he slowly fell for you. He found himself going there in hopes of seeing you. One day, he worked up the courage and stopped you after you had given money to the homeless man and asked you for her number.

The two of you texted back and forth, went for a few dates, and Seonghwa fell hard. Your ideas, your thoughts, your personality, it was such a beautiful blend that Seonghwa was constantly left in awe. He asked you out officially, and the both of you became girlfriend and boyfriend two years ago.

Seonghwa admired you. Your independence, your resilience, your drive. You worked hard for what you wanted, and you weren't one to back down. You had the mind of a rock, stubborn as hell but he loved that about you. Loved that you were opinionated but respectful, that you didn't allow anyone to step on you.

Although he loved this side of you, he still loved you when you were vulnerable. He was more than happy to hold you, comfort you, whisper little words of encouragement in your ear on the days when your resolve had those little cracks. When you just couldn't handle your rigid schedule on some days. He admired your passion and strength, but he also admired your vulnerability. He still found you so strong in those moments.

Asking for help was hard for you. It wasn't rare that Seonghwa had to find out about your deteriorating mental state himself. But he never got mad, never got upset, never judged. He'd sit next to you on the bed, stroke your hair until you'd finally lift your head from the pillows. He'd wipe away your tears, tell you you're the most beautiful girl in the world and gather you on his lap.

Seonghwa just knew what the right words were, what to do. He knew how to take care of every single aspect of you, the way that you needed. Never rough, never judgemental, never harsh. He gave you space to explore all those different sides of you without pressure, hell, he encouraged you to explore out of your comfort zone with assurances he'd catch you if you fell.

And he always did. Nothing would change that.
