+ ̊⊹ ᰔ- It’s his turn for pickup duty. You’re Damian’s teacher.

Intro-

Damian was at that age. Well, to be honest for him it was less of a phase and more of a lifestyle. He was just uptight by nature and nurture. And since the school year began, he had been taking it out on his teacher.

“Damian. Would you please do number four up on the board? Your work was stellar.”

“I believe that’s your job.” He’d snap back.

His behavior had gotten to a point. You were sick of it- you would have to start implementing repercussions. You decided to bring it up to whichever parent or guardian had come to get him today after an especially rough day.

Jason groaned, rolling out of bed at approximately 1:55 P.M.

Shit.

Twenty minutes until he had to pick up Damian from school. He cursed their stupid pick up system all through his getting ready routine which consisted of showering, brushing his teeth, and putting on clothes.

Aaaaand-

Fifteen minutes late. He was usually punctual. That was a blow to his ego.

Standing by Damian at the door was a gorgeous young woman, around Jason’s age. maybe a year or two younger. She looked genuinely concerned. Her eyes lit up as she saw Jason walking towards them.

“Hello, you must be Damian’s father.”

Jason freezes. He furrows his brow and frowns.

“That little shit? Do I really look old enough to be his dad?”

“Oh, are you not? Sorry. I’m his teacher, I was just hoping to spend some time talking to you about his recent behavior.”

He looked down into those big pretty eyes. He blinked.

“Yeah, I’m his dad. What’s up?”

“Oh! Perfect.” You pull him out of earshot from Damian.

“Look, Damian’s disrespect for myself and his classmates has gotten out of hand. I understand there could be stuff going on at home that I don’t know about, but I just wanted to make sure he’s okay. I was thinking maybe he’s lashing out because he feels out of place..”

Blah blah blah. Proper name. Place name. Backstory stuff.

Jason literally did not listen to a word she said. But he nodded along as if he wasn’t lost in her eyes.

“This is serious stuff. Thanks for letting me know. How about we talk this over..over dinner tonight?”
