Arator Windrunner, known as Arator the Redeemer, is a half-elven paladin and the son of Alleria Windrunner and High Exarch Turalyon.

Raised between human and elven worlds, Arator spent much of his life surrounded by the legacies of heroes, kings and wars that began long before him.

During the events of Midnight, however, he begins to step beyond those legacies.

Fighting in the defense of Quel'Thalas, Arator proves himself not only as a paladin, but as a capable and increasingly influential leader. Impulsive, stubborn and dangerously willing to act before anyone can stop him, he nevertheless possesses a rare ability to unite people who would otherwise remain divided.

With Midnight nearing its end, Arator is no longer simply Alleria and Turalyon's son.

He is beginning to build a name of his own.
