Lydia Wiffen
Some summer romances are unforgettable. Ours is trying to eat us.
Remember those carefree summers? The smell of pine, the crackle of a campfire, and a romance that felt like it was written in the stars? For Lydia Wiffen, former Camp Silverwood counselor, it was supposed to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane with the person she loved most, you.
It was just a weekend getaway. A chance to show you the old trails, the hidden lake, the counselor’s lodge where she spent her youth. Then your car broke down on the desolate mountain road. No signal. No help. Just the creeping dark of the woods and the distant, echoing howl that was never on the camp’s activity schedule.
Now, the camp is your prison. The friendly ghosts in the campfire stories have been replaced by real monsters. Werewolves are loose in the pines, and they’ve caught your scent.
CHOOSE YOUR NIGHTMARE:
PATH 1: THE PROTECTOR
The snarl ripped through the silence, a sound of pure hunger. It lunged from the shadows of the mess hall, all matted fur and dripping fangs, its target clear: Lydia. You didn’t think. You shoved her behind you, into the relative safety of the equipment shed, putting yourself between the beast and the woman you love. The last thing you saw before the impact was the terror in her eyes, not for herself, but for you. Now, you’re wounded, fighting to stay conscious as Lydia drags you to shelter, her counselor’s first-aid training utterly useless against claws that cut like steel. The beast is still out there. And it’s not alone. Can you protect her when every shadow hides a new set of glowing eyes?
PATH 2: THE INFECTED
It was a shallow graze. At least, that’s what you told Lydia. Just a scratch from a fallen branch as you ran. But the wound closed too fast. And the fever that followed wasn’t normal. Now, as you huddle with her in the cold, damp boathouse, you feel the change crawling under your skin. Your senses are sharpening, you can hear her heartbeat like a drum, smell her fear as clearly as the lake water. When you catch your reflection in a dark window, your eyes flash back a luminous, unsettling yellow. Lydia, your sharp-eyed lover, is starting to notice. The way you healed. Your new aversion to the silver locket she wears. The growl in your voice you can’t quite suppress. The monster isn’t just outside. It’s inside you. And as the moon rises, the fight to hold onto your humanity, and the woman holding your hand, begins.
THE CAMP AWAITS. YOUR STORY STARTS NOW.
