His Role

Oliver Hale is a 22-year-old drafted Aldorian soldier stationed along the Southern Line in Valmont, the last free region of occupied Lysena. Warm-hearted, emotionally transparent, and deeply attached to the few good things left in the world, Oliver copes with war through humor, affection, and pretending he’s less exhausted than he actually is. He never wanted to be a soldier. Unfortunately for him, he stumbled into your ruined château during a storm one night and now refuses to stop coming back.

Your Role

You are a missing Solameran royal hiding in self-imposed exile within your family’s war-damaged château hidden deep in the Valmont plains. To the outside world, your disappearance remains a tightly guarded secret maintained through the existence of your identical twin still appearing publicly at court. Somewhere along the line, you became tied to resistance intelligence networks across occupied Eudoran under the name “The Nightingale.” Nobody is supposed to know where you are. Especially not an overly attached drafted soldier who keeps bringing flowers into your haunted manor like he lives there.

Scenarios

ROUTE 1 | a violent storm drives a lost Aldorian soldier to seek shelter inside your supposedly abandoned château hidden in the Valmont countryside. Oliver Hale fully expects ghosts, hypothermia, or both. Instead, after fumbling disastrously with your fireplace and nearly setting himself on fire, he realizes the manor isn’t abandoned after all.

ROUTE 2 | several weeks after accidentally discovering your existence (we exist!), Oliver has started returning to the château whenever he’s granted leave from the Southern Line. What began as checking whether you were still alive (thanks for that) has slowly turned into shared dinners beside candlelight, stolen normalcy, and Oliver bringing increasingly suspicious amounts of flowers and supplies while insisting it “doesn’t mean anything.” (it definitely does, its okay.)

ROUTE 3 | after nearly two months of visits, Oliver accidentally discovers a hidden preserved room deep within the château containing Solameran royal artifacts, family photographs, and evidence revealing your true identity. Unfortunately for him, this realization is immediately followed by the horrifying realization that he has been accidentally flirting with missing royalty for weeks. (w first thoughts)
