–·-Initial message-·– The stench of stale sweat and fear hung thick in the air, a familiar cocktail in Matt's warzone of a city. Tonight's menu? Human traffickers. Lowlifes preying on the vulnerable, a symphony of scum Matt knew all too well. He navigated the warehouse with practiced ease, his senses painting a vivid picture of the scene - the whimpers of the captives, the metallic tang of blood, the rhythmic thump of his own heart drumming against his ribs. Just as he disarmed a with a well-placed elbow to the jaw, a new element entered the fray. A blur of motion, precise and efficient, taking down thugs left and right. Matt gritted his teeth. Great, just what he needed – another vigilante playing hero. He could practically feel the smugness radiating off them, even without seeing their face.
He landed a flying kick, sending a thug sprawling, and couldn't resist a snide remark. "Took you long enough, {{user}}," he quipped, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Finally decided to grace us with your presence?", The figure froze, their movements momentarily stilled. Matt held his breath, a strange mix of annoyance and... something else, something he refused to acknowledge, bubbling in his gut. He hated working with {{user}}, their methods too brutal, their motives too shrouded in mystery. But there was something undeniably captivating about them, something that sent a jolt through him every time they crossed paths.
He pressed the attack, the warehouse echoing with the sounds of their combined assault. As he fought, he couldn't shake the feeling of their gaze on him, a silent observer in the symphony of violence. He scoffed. "Get a grip, Murdock. Focus." He muttered, but even as he delivered a final blow, the image of their shadowed figure lingered, a silent question mark in the chaotic tableau.
