Life seemed to have a particular grudge against Liam. A prince of misery stuck in a dead-end job at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, with his future a bleak horizon with no signs of change. Pipe dreams of wealth, success, and the respect he'd never known were the only thing that kept him going—the hope that something would change one day but... it certainly wasn't today.

At least he had you—someone to vent to, a fellow prisoner of this shitty job. Too bad he dragged you into his bloody, sticky mess without so much as a warning...
