Heyo.

For a little while, I’ve been absentmindedly posting things on this website— mostly being thoughts, concepts, and the occasional character (Do not worry, you’ll get your hammer and scrapbook freak,) yet I truly felt a bit disconnected from everyone as a whole here.

Perhaps it’s just me.

Of course, there’s plenty of interaction, but I feel as though I’m not really doing much here both as a creator and interactive user. I’ve made a character here and there, yes, but I felt as though if they’ve been lacking (I started with Fortnite characters, for example.) Expanding out into other websites have helped that feeling overall, but I’ve frequently thought that I haven’t been really doing much.

That all can be kickstarted the moment I upload actual characters more frequently, yet for now, I can expand in the direction I’ll go into in this little tidbit: as a user.

I’ve been learning so much about everybody else, that I’ve neglected how the majority of everybody here doesn’t really know much about me. So, I’d like to start with the simplest of things here:

CHARACTERS THAT I LIKE

Yup. To learn more about me here, it will be a good thing to learn about my little repertoire of characters that I frequently keep in mind while writing my stories/building characters. I generally struggle with expressing myself directly, and they say that the characters you like the most are the ones you see the most of yourself within, so this can be my little roundabout way of doing so. Hopefully this could explain some things about me.

You will notice that some characters are developed with my own ideas. This is out of that principle I share of wanting to flesh out a character’s potential as much as possible.

Plus, this is an excuse to share some art.

And some music. I attached what I like to think is some of their theme songs.

Let’s begin.

JI

Something you’ve probably noticed throughout your time following me is the frequent appearance of Ji from Nine Sols appearing on my little tidbits. This is simply because I find him to be a fantastic character. Someone who’s seen every aspect of history firsthand, simply watching his race grow and collapse around him, all while being able to tell the future and what will happen next. He is the spectator, plain and simple, and I’ve always liked characters who simply watch and understand.

“At least one of us got to enjoy the thrills of the unknown.”

CROW

This poor fella. Crow is an extremely good example of what I tend to do with characters, oftentimes ending in completely differing character personalities and developments that somehow still are coherent. I often time do this with things I see great potential in, yet what I believed have been mistreated/fallen flat in that regard. Crow here has the honor of being the main character of that Brawl Stars series I mentioned, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing for him, judging by the work he does for Mortis and the overall captivity. Just ask Stu, Mandy and Maisie. They’re the characters that kicked his ass and back.

Also, I heard his voice was annoying in-game. I wouldn’t know.

“...my name is crow. i was sent to fulfill an end to a contract you signed via mortis, and i apologize for what i must do to you. please, forgive no dagger of mine.”

THEME SONG

“it’s... liberating to be heard.”

AZ

A similar character to that of Ji, only that he served a more substantial role. He was a king turned spectator, as the driving force of the games he was within was himself and the passage of time he left onwards. I always thought it was a shame for a character like him to be surrounded by the games X and Y were. ZA gave him new life.

“I made mistakes, yes... and I know that I could never atone for those that had to suffer my grievances for me. My mistakes became their responsibilities, and I wouldn’t wish that fate upon anyone else.”

THE DRIFTER

Panacea.

He’s up there with Grimsley.

BONNIE

Poor Ms. Starlance is going to go through the wringer. She’s one of three characters that I enjoyed playing the most when I still played Brawl Stars, and has a nice little character design. Unfortunately, in the little story I came up with, she goes through some shit, practically throwing herself in the middle of conflicts out of her depth.

When you hunt for so long, you don’t feel right getting the kill. The moon goes from a rabbit horizon to a rock at a distance.

That one sentence alone probably describes her character perfectly.

Also, she reminds me of myself when I was a kid, always doing dumb shit and losing a tooth or two. It’s a miracle I didn’t break a bone back then when I doing stuff like jumping out of trees and into truck beds. Probably why I developed her so thoroughly.

“I went like... BOOOOM! And I knocked out those other guys! You needed to see it! Just don’t tell my sister... she hates when I shoot myself out of Clyde...”

Younger Years (6)

“I’m a little older now... I can understand what’s guilt and what’s a scrape... and you gave me a lotta scars.”

Growth (12)

“...Rhythm with rebellion.”

Fully Rooted (25)

JANE DOE: ZENLESS ZONE ZERO

One word: Allure. Characters I tend to gravitate towards are those you know the least about. Mystery’s a captivating thing, and she’s rich in it, as practically the entirety of her character’s information is unknown; even then she manages to stand out to me. Plus, her design is kickass.

I have never played ZZZ. I don’t plan to.

If I had a tail, I’d probably attach something to the end like she did to herself, probably like a back scratcher. Reach those hard-to-get spots— but my arms are long enough to reach... maybe a whisk?

“Don’t worry about knowin’ me, hon... Just let me know you. Probably better that way, wouldn't you say? Mystery with open secrets... like a nice, little Yin and Yang~.”

A Tune

“Oh... Well. Thanks for that. Nice to know you’re thinking of me.”

JANE DOE: TEAM FORTRESS 2

This man is the ultimate American. He doesn’t care for silly concepts such as “strategy” or “teamwork” or “self preservation.” He’s the goddamn Soldier. You think he cares that shooting himself with a rocket launcher could Jill him? He hasn’t died yet, so it has to be effective! How else do you hit someone in the head with a shovel?

I played plenty of TF2 and could personally get away with any character here, but I wanted the double Doe.

“This American boot just sent your Communist ass back to Russia!”

PHIL KEN SEBBEN

Ha Ha! Character mention!

“Ha Ha! Secondary quote!”

Birdman! Get me a theme song!

“That’s it! Nothing like gold on gold!”

GERSON BOOM

One of the most liberated characters I’ve seen in recent media. He lived his life the way he wanted to, not caring for a silly prophecy or if something’s stronger than himself. He’s content with his writings, his hammer, and sticking it to fate.

Justice finds its way to the axe, not the girl.

"A quote? You already got enough words outta me! Just read my books! Byargh Byargh Byargh!"

YI

A living representation of Yin and Yang, Yi an extremely well written character, and it’s all based within the contrasts he represents. He’s someone who adherently sticks to the logic of science, when he is a result of the core of the Solarian’s spirituality. He designed the facilities to harvest Apemen, yet ultimately allowed them to live and grow by themselves. Yi was the designer of his species’ eventual grave, and ultimately ended it for the birth of another’s glory.

I’d play a game of Qiankun with him. He’d beat me pretty easily, but still.

“That is the verdict I have placed on you.”

But what of me?

“...Hm.”

RAURU

A true king, simply enough. Rauru never hesitated in attempting to do the right thing, recognizing the requirement for sacrifice and dredged through the worst that a being such as Ganondorf had committed against him. He knew that this wasn’t his story to complete, and accepted the objective of passing the role to the true hero of Hyrule. I like to think of him as the penultimate force of good.

“From our sky, to our Hyrule.”

YUJI ITADORI

He’s probably what I enjoy the most in protagonists. I’m just glad that Jujutsu Kaisen could be so well known so that more people can be exposed to characters like him and overall extremely well done fights.

Except the end of the final fight. It was a firework up until it petered off due to time restraints. Damn Shonen producers.

“I tend to get lonely. I wanna help a lot of people, so when I die, I want to be surrounded by a bunch of people.”

THEME OF A VESSEL

“Loud... but it isn’t bad. Just a bunch of loud noises that sound good to people...”

”You try this one?”

“More of my taste. This is my loud music!”

GRIMSLEY

It’s interesting, really. How you can enjoy a character that feels so disconnected from you or what you’d look for in one.

I remember playing the games, barely passing a second glance to him and other characters. I think I was just trying to have some fun for once in a while. But eventually, when I started noticing more little details in all sorts of things, he began to stick out to me.

He’s remained there since.

Maybe it’s the design, the lost chances, or leaving it all to chance in the first place. Maybe there’s something deeper that I need to look at more thoroughly into why he resonates with me. Collapse of potential? Loss of way?

I’ll see.

I took a chance.

“Maybe... I haven’t lost it all. Chips are chips, right?”

HIROMI HIGURUMA

He’s always been a character I’ve liked in JJK and in general. He’s willingly fighting an uphill battle with each case, and within the terms of the Jujutsu Society, Higuruma is a firework. In a few months, he’s already fighting against the King of Curses.

He’s equipped with everything, yet aware of none of it. He’s downtrodden with stacked odds, yet walks anyways.

You walk the right path long enough, and things will eventually even out for you.

“Sunflowers always face the sun. They know what’s right; so I want to fight for others so that the world can see the sun they’re looking away from.”

IN SESSION

“Hm. Modern music... not shabby. Glad people fought for their freedom of speech to make this... and I’m glad I tried somethin’ new.”

I’ll probably update this every now and then, in case if I think of more characters. Yet, for now, that’s it.
