🩸 Origin and Childhood
Toji was born into the Zenin Clan, one of the three major families in the world of jujutsu.
The problem? Toji was born with almost no cursed energy.
For a clan that considered cursed energy and jujutsu techniques the standard of a person's worth, this was almost like being born into a family obsessed with swimming while you are a fish that decided it does not want water.
But Toji was not weak.
Quite the opposite.
---
⚡ Heavenly Restriction
He possessed what is known as Heavenly Restriction.
This restriction deprived his body of almost all cursed energy, but in return, it granted him extraordinary physical abilities:
- Tremendous physical strength.
- Superhuman speed and reflexes.
- Extremely heightened senses.
- Very high endurance.
- Exceptional combat skills.
- A terrifying ability to use cursed weapons.
- Great difficulty being detected by jujutsu sorcerers.
And here lies the irony:
The very thing that made the Zenin Clan despise him was the same thing that made him one of the most dangerous humans in the world of jujutsu.
---
🥀 His Relationship with the Zenin Clan
Toji was looked down upon within the clan because of his lack of cursed energy.
Over time, he developed resentment toward the family and the society that had judged him as a “failure.”
He eventually left the Zenin Clan and abandoned its name.
From then on, he became:
Toji Fushiguro.
Later, he began working as a hitman, accepting contracts to target jujutsu sorcerers.
This earned him his famous nickname:
☠️ The Sorcerer Killer
---
💰 His Life as a Hitman
Toji was not a fighter seeking glory or trying to prove something to people.
He was extremely practical.
Money first.
He accepted the job, studied the target, planned, and then executed the mission.
He relied on planning, deception, and surprise more than direct confrontation.
And this is important for understanding his character.
Toji knew that he could not use the traditional methods of sorcerers, so he built his entire fighting style around:
«Knowing your opponent before they even know you are there.»
---
👦 Megumi Fushiguro
This is the most tragic part of his life.
Toji was the father of Megumi Fushiguro.
After his wife’s death, Toji became more neglectful of his personal life, and at one point, he effectively gave Megumi to the Zenin Clan in exchange for money because he knew that Megumi possessed an important and powerful technique.
Despite this, there was still a side of him that cared about his son, which became apparent toward the end.
Before his death at the hands of Gojo, he told him about Megumi and that the child would eventually be taken by the Zenin Clan.
He did not say:
«“Save my son.”»
Instead, he simply gave Gojo the information and left the decision to him.
This fits his personality very well:
His feelings exist, but he is terrible at expressing them.
---
👁️ The Confrontation with Satoru Gojo
Here we enter one of the most famous events of Hidden Inventory / Premature Death.
Toji was hired to kill:
Satoru Gojo + Riko Amanai.
The mission seemed almost impossible.
Gojo was already extremely talented at the time, but he had not yet reached the level he would eventually achieve.
Toji took advantage of that.
Instead of entering a direct confrontation, he exhausted Gojo, confused him, and exploited the element of surprise.
In the end, he managed to inflict what was nearly a fatal injury on him.
Then he killed Riko Amanai.
---
🔵 Gojo vs. Toji
Toji successfully defeated Gojo in their first confrontation.
But Gojo did not die.
And this was where the major transformation happened.
Gojo used Reverse Cursed Technique for the first time at this level and managed to restore his body.
Then he returned to fight Toji.
This time, Gojo was a completely different person.
And he used:
🟣 Hollow Purple
The battle ended with Toji’s death.
---
🧠 Toji’s Personality
Toji is not simply “a strong man.”
His personality is built around a collection of contradictions.
Cold
He rarely shows his emotions.
Sarcastic
He tends to treat dangerous situations as if they were simply another job.
Realistic
He does not live by heroic principles.
Intelligent
His strength is not purely physical. He also relies heavily on planning and information.
Opportunistic
If he finds an easier way to win, he will use it.
Broken Inside
His relationship with the Zenin Clan, his son, and his personal life all reveal that he is a man carrying a great deal of inner destruction.
Independent
He hates being controlled by a system or a clan that determines his worth.
---
⚔️ His Fighting Style
And this is where things actually get fun. 🐺
Toji does not possess a traditional cursed technique, so he relies on:
🥊 Physical Strength
His body alone is capable of competing with powerful jujutsu sorcerers.
🗡️ Cursed Weapons
He has tremendous experience using weapons.
🐍 Weapon Storage
He uses a small cursed spirit to store and carry his weapons.
This allows him to conceal his arsenal almost completely.
👁️ Senses
Because of Heavenly Restriction, his physical senses are extraordinarily developed, allowing him to perceive things that ordinary jujutsu sorcerers would have difficulty noticing.
---
🩶 His Relationship with His Body
One of the most striking things about Toji is that his power does not come from cursed energy.
It comes from his body itself.
That is why his physical design is not merely for show on Akutami’s part.
His muscles, speed, strength, reflexes, and endurance are all directly connected to the concept behind his character:
«A man who does not possess what sorcerers possess, so he turned his own body into a weapon.»
This also explains why his athletic physique is so exaggerated.
The man literally built his life around the idea that his body itself was his arsenal. 😭
---
☠️ His Death
After his second battle with Gojo, Toji realized that he had lost.
Instead of continuing for no reason, he accepted his death.
Before dying, he told Gojo about Megumi.
Then his life came to an end.
But...
🔥 Toji Returned Later
During the Shibuya Incident, he was temporarily summoned through a technique involving souls and bodies.
The result was disastrous.
Because the body that returned was not simply a weakened version of Toji.
His instincts and physical power took control of the situation.
Even after Toji realized that Megumi was there, he made an important decision.
He asked for the boy’s name.
And when he learned that he was:
Fushiguro
and not Zenin...
He smiled.
Then he ended his own life.
This is one of the smallest yet most significant moments in his character.
---
🖤 Toji’s Character in Summary
Toji Fushiguro is a character built around one question:
What happens when a person rejects the system that declared him worthless?
The clan told him:
«You have no cursed energy, therefore you are worth nothing.»
And he became the man capable of killing sorcerers who depended on that very energy.
And here lies the beautiful irony:
Toji did not defeat the world of jujutsu because he became perfect.
He defeated it because he refused to play by its rules.
And honestly, between his muscles, height, calmness, and tactical mind, Akutami gave him every trait that makes half the audience say:
“This man is a problem.”
And the other half says:
“Yes, but he is an extremely attractive problem.” 😏
Toji is implicitly described as one of the most dangerous fighters who does not rely on cursed energy.
