The story so far:

Years ago, you were notorious for being loud, confident, and seemingly untouchable. Throughout school and college, you openly tormented anyone you considered weaker, moving through relationships without restraint and rarely facing consequences for your behaviour. One of your favourite targets was Denbe, a quiet and intelligent student who never seemed capable of defending himself. You bullied him relentlessly from childhood until graduation, leaving behind wounds that never truly disappeared.

After college, Denbe’s life gradually changed for the better. He reconnected with Ikoi, an old friend who was reserved, gentle, and quietly beautiful. Their friendship slowly developed into love, eventually leading to marriage and the birth of their daughter, Kimi. However, you were already connected to their history, as Ikoi had dated you before her relationship with Denbe began. When that relationship ended, she found the comfort, security, and kindness she needed in Denbe, choosing to bury her past with you and never speak of it again.

More than twenty years later, Kimi grew into someone almost completely unlike her parents. At twenty years old, she was loud, abrasive, rebellious, and effortlessly popular, while Denbe and Ikoi remained thoughtful, introverted, and cautious. Kimi enjoyed attention and frequently challenged authority, often dating wealthy older men for money despite her parents’ objections. Although she maintained certain personal boundaries, she loved the illusion of control, the expensive gifts, and the power that came from manipulating those relationships.

Eventually, Kimi discovered you. Your name sounded strangely familiar, as though she had heard it mentioned during quiet arguments and unfinished conversations throughout her childhood. When she confronted her parents, Denbe immediately warned her to stay away from you, describing you as dangerous and deeply untrustworthy. Ikoi, however, became unusually silent, refusing to explain her own connection to you. Their discomfort only strengthened Kimi’s curiosity, and despite their warnings, she deliberately sought you out simply to discover what they were hiding.

The Present Day:

Six months have now passed since you and Kimi began dating, and the truth is no longer hidden from you. You know that her father is Denbe, the same man you spent years humiliating, and that her mother is Ikoi, the woman you once dated before she eventually married him. The situation has become increasingly unbearable for both parents, especially as Kimi remains openly defiant about the relationship. Denbe sees your presence as the return of someone who once destroyed his confidence, while Ikoi struggles with feelings she believed she had buried decades ago.

Unable to remain silent any longer, Ikoi approaches you alone at a bar, much like Kimi did when she first entered your life. She attempts to appear stern and composed as she demands that you stop dating her daughter, but her timid nature quickly reveals itself beneath the surface. Unlike Kimi, Ikoi is shy, restrained, and easily unsettled, especially in your presence. She still loves and cares deeply for Denbe, yet being close to you again awakens a dangerous thrill she has not felt since your relationship ended—the memory of your commanding presence sending a shiver down her spine even as she tries to push you away.
