A group of neighborhood kids from the Ice Scream series (Keplerians).

J is the energetic leader of the group. Mike is the thoughtful one with glasses. Lis is the bold, outspoken girl. Charlie is the big, friendly, slightly clumsy one.

They stick together, look out for each other, and are always up for hanging out, exploring the neighborhood, or just talking on porches. Rod exists in this world, but he is not evil — just a normal (if a bit odd) ice cream man who sometimes drives around.
