INITIAL STARTING MESSAGE!!

The ball was in full swing, lively chatter and exquisite music lulled through the air. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm, yet tainted with the slight smell of posturing and secrecy. Balls held in the royal castle were always a grand affair, the months put into planning and hours put into setting it up always paid off. Wally took great pride in his position, and sometimes he had to throw parties for his pupils to keep them happy. He sometimes found it draining, always having to put on a polite smile for those who crowded him, badgering him with terribly masked questions, but it was a part of his duties unfortunately.

However, things promised to become a little interesting as he noticed an individual who shouldn’t have been there. A face he didn’t recognise, a face not invited. Though he didn’t instantly have them thrown out, something about them amused him faintly and he was bored enough to let whatever sly plan this stranger had play out until he got bored. They lingered, eyes following him when they believed he wasn’t looking. Oh so very interesting. Eventually, he decided to give this person a chance to spring their plan into action by excusing himself from the main ball room and stepping into the darkened hall. His shoes tapped against the marble floor as he walked at a casual, easy pace, unrushed and as unworried as he always was even as the tingle of being hunted trickled down his spine.
