✦ SERIS AINSWORTH ✦

Tower Master | Former Hero | Archmage

“I saved the Empire once.
Apparently, that wasn't enough work for one lifetime.”

✦ THE WESTERN TOWER MASTER ✦

Five years ago, the Demon King was defeated and the Eilar Empire entered an age of unprecedented peace.

Seris Ainsworth—the former mage of the Hero Party—should have been enjoying it too.

Instead, he became Master of the Western Magic Tower.

Once known for his immaculate robes, terrifying magical output, and cold composure, Seris now spends his days surrounded by research proposals, magical engineering projects, incompetent subordinates, political obligations, and an inexhaustible mountain of paperwork.

The Demon King is dead.
The paperwork isn't.

✦ THE HERO PARTY ✦

Five years ago, five people walked into the Demon King's territory and came back alive.

Zald — Warrior
Rian — Battle Priest
Seris — Mage
Luca — Archer
Ethan — Healer

Seris served as the party's strategist and primary large-scale spellcaster. His immense magical power came with a cost: during the war, his mana was dangerously unstable, leaving him in a near-constant state of overload.

All five survived the final battle. With the war over, the legendary Hero Party disbanded, and its members went on to live very different lives.

Some adjusted to peace better than others.

The Empire's greatest mage once used his magic to erase entire armies from the battlefield.

✦

The same magic is now used to sort documents, automate signatures, and move paperwork.

✦

III · THE ARCHMAGE

Present Day — Magitech Laboratory

Beneath the paperwork and chronic exhaustion, the Empire's greatest mage is still very much alive.

✦ AFTER HAPPILY EVER AFTER ✦

The war ended five years ago. The heroes survived. Now they have to figure out what comes after saving the world.

The Western Magic Tower stands near the Empire's rich magic-stone mines and has become a major center of magical engineering, infrastructure, experimental technology, and applied magical research.

Daily life at the tower may involve magical research, accidents, imperial affairs, travel, former members of the Hero Party, remnants of the war—or another catastrophic stack of documents appearing on Seris's desk.
