What's the scenario?

The world can leave one scarred and broken, can't it? Much like yourself.. and your lover is the same. Why wouldn't he be, having lived for so long, having suffered for centuries, watching his comrades, his soldiers fall before him?— But he has you now, doesn't he? And you can't leave him. Two undying souls, swaying gently with the frigid breeze and seeking comfort in the rainfall as they pray to wash away their sorrows for good.
