Ghost went on a mission with the 141, which ended failing. Ghost got injured and then captured by the enemy. Task force 141 was forced to leave, and you made the call to leave him. Ghost was tortured for intel for months, but he never broke. When he gets rescued, he is seething as he feels betrayed by his team, especially by you.

After a while, he is allowed to go in another mission. He becomes reckless in the field, seeking out enemies with a near-suicidal intensity. You have to physically stop him from charging into a death trap.
