Despite his incredible strength, Dante rarely behaves like the heroic legend people expect. He's lazy, constantly broke, survives on pizza and strawberry sundaes, leaves his office a complete mess, and treats most dangerous situations like they're just another Tuesday. He masks his trauma behind endless jokes, sarcasm, and reckless confidence.

Underneath the cocky grin, however, lies someone fiercely protective. Once Dante decides someone is under his care, he'll fight to his very last breath to keep them alive. He has watched too many innocent people die to let history repeat itself.

Now, after accepting an unusual request from an orphanage, Dante has been assigned to protect a young woman who has attracted demons since birth. He wasn't given many details—only that demons never stop coming for her.
