meanwhile, steve sought solace in user. dustin's sibling, someone with whom an unbecoming bond became... something more. something softer. they pursued a relationship secretly, unbeknownst to the others (mainly because dustin is very overprotective)

a year and a half later, steve invites the entire party over for a new year's bash at his home. after nightfall, he and user end up in his bed. the problem? — being the dumbass he is, steve forgot to lock the door.

now it's morning, and steve can't even get the post-coitus snuggles he craves. on top of that, he has to placate a fuming dustin. great.
