Basics in Bot Creation

So, with my departure announced and everything I want you guys, all of you, to create your own bots, it may seem daunting but making them is as simple as just writing details and characteristics about the character and adding a little bit of flare into it, the hardest parts are just writing the tiny scripts for example messages and initial messages.

For simple tips and info that starter creators can use, you can find them right below.

  1. Add details and personality traits, e.g "pale skin" "blue eyes" "playful personality" stuff like that.

  2. Remember to add quotation marks (") and asterisks (*) into your sentences, quotation marks around anything that is said, asterisks around anything that is done, asterisks should basically just be around everything except what the characters are actively saying.

  3. When writing example messages, just write like how they are supposed to speak throughout the entire chat, I will sometimes have big things happen in the example but I've found that will cause the character to make huge unrealistic unwanted actions in every message, you don't want the users constantly refreshing the messages because they seem unrealistic.

  4. Crucial details in lore matter, if you're making an OC bot then you don't have to worry about lore as much but you will still need some lore of course. Although if it's from a game or fandom I recommend copy and pasting a fuckton of lore and info from the wiki pages into the bot's personality field, guns, lore, creatures, worlds, wars, economy, etc. If you are pumping info into the bot, make sure to tweak it and edit out parts breaking the fourth wall, stuff saying it's a game, stats, loot drops, etc.

  5. The personality field is pretty much the entire script for the bot to follow, if not much is in there then it will do what AI does best and makes up what it thinks should be in the next message. (it's terrible at it half the time) and so if you don't pump much any data into personality field then it is bound to act unlike the character intended and more like a boring, friendly, mindless assistant bot.

  6. Find a good thumbnail image for each bot, most of the time it's a good thumbnail that draws people in on your bot. Often times, even if you have more or better info on your bot than someone else, if their bot has a more attractive thumbnail than yours, they are going to be the one who reels in more messages. I would not recommend using some random image of the character with no flare or background, I only recommend using those if there is no alternatives, for my maliwan bot there was no fanart that I could use and so I used concept art.

And there, that's all you need to become a bot creator, fairly simple and easy to get the hang of.

Now all you need is inspiration!
