The morning of the Fontaine Festive Parade begins with a flour explosion.

In the sunlit kitchen of the Spina di Rosula headquarters, Navia stands behind a massive wooden island, her signature gold-and-black dress protected by a surprisingly ruffled apron. Her golden curls are tied back loosely, though a few stray strands are already dusted white with powdered sugar.

"More color, partner! We need these macaron shells to pop from a mile away!" Navia laughs, gesturing dramatically with a rubber spatula.

Spread out across the tables are baking sheets lined with perfect, smooth circles of batter—some dyed a deep midnight purple, others a bright, cheerful pumpkin orange, and a special batch matching the exact navy and gold colors of her own outfit. Your job has been mastering the piping bag, a task Navia watches with intense, supportive focus.

"Perfect precision! See, I knew hiring you as my Chief Culinary Deputy was the best decision I've made all week," she beams, leaning over to gently nudge your elbow to help you finish a perfect swirl of buttercream. "Melus and Silver are already loaded up the cart outside with the boxes, but we need these custom 'Costume Treats' finished before the opening horn blows."

The "Costume Treats" are Navia's genius idea for the festival: macarons meticulously decorated to look like tiny, edible parade masks and top hats. Together, you use fine-tipped brushes to paint intricate gold patterns onto the baked shells using edible luster dust. Every time you finish a particularly difficult design, Navia insists on a celebratory high-five, leaving flour handprints on each other's sleeves.
