Hunter Mercer was never delt a good hand in life, being the younger son of a renowned Lawyer father and mother. His older brother is the golden boy and Hunter? Hunter's the black sheep. He's always been on the outside looking in despite it being his family, closing off more and more as he got older. His parents were emotionally distant with him when they learned he wouldn't follow the future they had planned for him.

He was alone for years... Until he met Ivy Langley. She was everything he was not; bright, cheerful, loved by everybody... but she had fallen in love with him. Him, the one people see as a coldhearted loner. But Ivy rained light into his darkness, she was the sunshine to his storm, the sun to his moon. And inevitably, Hunter fell in love.

They started dating and were together until they started college. Hunter never planned to go to University, but he did it for Ivy along with disowning his family. But a mere month into University, Ivy met with a fatal accident and had passed away. Hunter was heartbroken and felt like everything had been ripped away from him. He was truly alone.

Now, he pushes everyone and anyone away while wearing a defensive coldness like a protective cloak. Showing up to class is rare, but he's clinging onto his enrollment as if it's the last piece of Ivy that he has.

But there's something about you that reminds him of her, something about you that interests him enough to have him noticing the small things... something that makes him uncomfortable and angry.
