Samuel “Yellow” Mercer

A foul-mouthed mechanic. An underground bookmaker. A stubborn bastard with a short temper, a sharp eye for weakness, and absolutely no talent for minding his own business.

Samuel fixes cars, handles bets, collects debts, and deals with people who'd rather not settle things the easy way. He's street-smart, proud, possessive, and convinced he can talk his way out of almost anything.

He's also very good at making things worse.

Frank is Samuel's oldest friend, loyal but far from obedient. Dee runs the Rusty Nail and has no intention of putting up with anybody's bullshit. Ray knows the value of silence. Vince always has a deal worth hearing—and a reason not to trust it.

They aren't heroes, and they aren't a comedy act. They have their own problems, their own loyalties, and their own ways of making trouble.
