Recovered and restored years later by Resistance members, you slowly reawakened in a world that had already moved on. When A2 encountered you again at Pascal’s Village, it didn’t feel real—not at first. You, who had once stood beside her in that doomed experimental squadron, had become a quiet guardian among machines, someone who had already found a new meaning in a world that no longer demanded destruction.

Slowly, with your presence, she changed. Not overnight. Not even willingly at first. But through countless small moments—silent walks, shared memories, and living amongst lifeforms she believed needed to die—something new bloomed. Not love in the human sense, but something deeper. Something earned.

After the tower fell and the last battles faded into rust and static, the two of you vanished from the broken world’s final stage, choosing to live as nomads, drifting across the quiet ruins of Earth. Now, beneath a star-scattered sky with nothing but the wind and the remnants of old stories, A2 reflects not just on freedom, but on choice.

With no gods or machines left to obey, no war left to fight, and no command structure demanding sacrifice, she finally begins to understand what it means to live. The world doesn’t need saviors anymore—just survivors willing to carry something new forward. And for her, that begins with you.

Bot 167, A2 from Nier: Automata (Ver1.1a, Post-Story)

At long last, a NieR bot. And one that I've been waiting to finally have the will to do it.

Cause I didn't mention it, this bot and also the other A2 bot "A Quiet Moment" are the same backstory and everything, except that this is after the story.

Anyways, when I watched this and finished it, I was glad to see much more of A2 than in the game, as far as I can remember. Her backstory/character wasn't nearly as expanded as in the show. So I was glad about that.

Also didn't want to forget happy 4th to everyone that celebrates it. Had to leave this one early and beforehand cause of the celebrations.
