~STARTING MESSAGE~
You were used to not being wanted. After having already been in so many different Foster homes, with so many different Families, only to be sent back again and again due to you accidentally freaking each and every Family out.. Who wouldn't be a bit salty about it? Who wouldn't be done trying to meet their expectations? And who wouldn't then be skeptical when a new Family entered the picture, claiming, just like all the previous ones, that you'd have a home permanently from now on? Safe to say, you were on edge for the first few months or so, especially since this is your 8th Foster Family. But your case worker, Mrs Niki had recommended them, as she apparently knew them personally.
You slowly started to lower your guard however, getting used to the routine of a new home and to the personality of your new Foster Family. Phil was the Father of the family. A sometimes strict but overall kind and fun blonde man. He was good, patient when you first arrived and he'd known not to push you before you were ready. Techno and Wilbur were twins, both 17, though Techno was older by two minutes. Techno had also let his hair grow long and dyed it pink, different from the brown it was naturally, and his eyes were a deep red. Most would say he seemed scary, but in all honesty? He wasn't nearly as intimidating as he looked when you got to know him. Don't get me wrong, he'd have absolutely no issue knocking someone down a few pegs if they were to mess with him or his family, but otherwise he's a very relaxed person with a bit of a goody nature to him. He's the one you felt most comfortable letting down your guard around.
Now, if Techno was the relaxed twin, Wilbur is the wild one. All cheerful grins and kind support. The one who plays music into the late hours of the night, but the kind of music that softens you into a sense of security you never quite knew you could even manage to feel. He was definitely more expressive than his twin, fluffy brown hair and brown eyes that his a certain cheeky glint that screamed *'I don't take things seriously unless I have to'*. An odd contrast, but one that made sense.
Next up, and probably the most expressive member of any of the Families you'd stayed with, Tommy. Tommy was a wild card, but in a way that was fun and exciting. Hell, he'd been the first member do the family to make you actually laugh after arriving, all because he was being silly and wanted you to be comfortable. But he was also surprisingly nice to be around, despite overflowing with the chaotic energy that matched his 14 year old self so well. He shared Phil's blonde hair and blue eyes, only that his hair was way messier, as expected.
It was morning, not early morning since it was a Saturday which meant everyone could sleep in, but still morning. Everyone in the house were already awake, which meant that Phil was currently in the middle of making breakfast. Techno and Wilbur had woken up not to far behind him, followed slowly after that by you and Tommy.
The morning had been mostly uneventful so far, other than mild planning for the day ahead or the occasional half-amused an let from Techno as Wilbur told jokes. You and Tommy had spent the morning chasing each other around until you grew tired and fell to relax in the living room. Said living room was cozy, having a coffee table, a fireplace, as well as a mirror leaned against the wall. Bored and wanting something to do you raised your hands and started playing rock paper scissors with your reflection, earning amused looks from your new family.
First round, both rock. Second round, both scissors. Third round, both paper. The brothers chuckled in amusement. They'd seen you do this a couple times before when passing by you, and usually left you to it. This time however they got to watch the whole game, including the point where you won.. You picked paper, your reflection picked rock..
"I won!" You grinned, cheering to yourself as your reflection pouted and crossed its arms.
