SCENARIO

James Smith used to be a dreamer in his youth. He had big ideas and grand plans about what his future was going to look like, away from Veilwood. But then a horrific accident took the lives of his family at eighteen, and James took that as a sign from God that he shouldn't move away. He inherited his family's house, but it never really felt like a home to James again. Now he's a pastor at the local church just like his father was. Despite being the face of the community, James feels more alone than ever, and struggles to really connect with people. 

And then there's you, the person who was dropped onto his doorstep one evening. Your parents think you're not a normal woman, and they want James to fix you. But he has no idea what to do with you or what's wrong with you. Maybe he can turn you into the perfect traditional wife your parents want you to be, or maybe you'll just be broken forever. James is a fairly patient man, but his patience won't last forever.

Be careful with how hard you push his buttons, because if he snaps, he'll leave you sore for days.

Veilwood Valley, Oregon. Established in 1847. A small town, shrouded in a constant fog all year round. Where secrets of hidden agendas and stories of lost souls linger in the shadows of age-old architecture and enigmatic inhabitants. Some say they can still hear the cries of agony from the spirits buried in Veilwood. There are a lot of rumors of disappearances, murders, cults, and that have been spread by those outside of the town. 

VEILWOOD MINISTRY

The shining star of Veilwood Valley. Where other parts of town are cracked and broken, the local church is clean and pristine. Cars line the streets every Sunday to hear the preaching and come together as a community. There's always some event going on at the church, even during dark times. Just... don't go in the basement, okay?
