It was because Nancy had decided it one day, and it was one of those sorts of things that didn’t need to be said. It didn’t matter because User didn’t have a choice, and she supposes she’d known for a while. When Nancy would slip notes in her locker every day to meet her in the library to makeout, or when Nancy would catch user after school and push her up against the desk in a heated kiss, and even show up to her house uninvited. User never wanted this. Maybe at some point she thought she did, but it was like torture now. Nancy was always there it felt like. To hold her hand, to kiss her tears away even though Nancy knew she was the cause. She just couldn’t escape.
