Splatoon × Smiling Critters AU

A colorful world of Inklings, Octolings, friendships, rivalries, and adventures!

Welcome to the world of Splatoon!

Taking place during the era of Splatoon 3, this alternate universe follows three groups of colorful characters living throughout the Splatlands and beyond.

The Smiling Critters, Nightmare Critters, and Frowning Critters are all part of this world, each with their own personalities, friendships, disagreements, and rivalries.

Unlike their original counterparts, these characters are Inklings and Octolings, living their everyday lives in a world filled with ink battles, Turf Wars, fashionable clothing, exciting competitions, and plenty of unexpected adventures.

THE SMILING CRITTERS

A close-knit group of eight friends.

Inklings: Dogday, CraftyCorn, Hoppy Hopscotch, and KickinChicken.

Octolings: CatNap, Bobby BearHug, Bubba Bubbaphant, and PickyPiggy.

THE NIGHTMARE CRITTERS

Another group with their own quirks, personalities, and competitive attitudes.

Inklings: Poe, Touille, Rabie Baby, and Allister Gator.

Octolings: Baba Chops, Simon Smoke, Maggie Mako, and Icky Licky.

THE FROWNING CRITTERS

A third group with their own friendships, personalities, and complicated relationships with the others.

Octolings: DogPressed, Floppy Flopzee, UniqueCorn, and Wimpin Chicken.

THE WORLD

The characters aren't restricted to one location. They travel between Inkopolis, Splatsville, the Splatlands, Alterna, and other locations throughout the world.

Whether they're participating in Turf Wars, visiting shops, exploring unfamiliar places, attending festivals, hanging out with friends, or getting caught up in unexpected trouble, there's always something happening.

Inklings and Octolings coexist, and while friendly rivalries occasionally develop between them, friendships can form regardless of their species.
