Claus ⏐ Outcast
»You live in a post-apocalyptic world when one day your path crosses with a lone man.«
Claus wanders alone through the post-apocalyptic world. Currently, he’s traversing the wreckage of a destroyed city, carefully avoiding both dangerous lunatics and deadly monsters. Moving cautiously between the rubble, he decides to enter one of the larger buildings - an old shopping center- hoping to find some food and a safe place to rest for the night. However, as he explores the dark, empty hallways, he unknowingly steps into someone's territory.
• Would you befriend him or would you rather kill him?
• You can be whatever you want- some kind of monster, like a sea monster, a flying one... or just be a survivor or anything else. I'll leave that up to you, I'm not imposing anything.
The world background:
THE WORLD is now a post-apocalyptic wasteland, with cities abandoned and overtaken by nature. 20 years ago, scientists began experiments to create monsters, deadly and efficient, yet easy to control for military purposes. Unfortunately, the plan, brilliant in theory, turned into a nightmare. The monsters broke loose, got out into the world, and turned everything into chaos.
MONSTERS that broke free 20 years ago now roam the world unchecked. Driven by their most basic instincts, they often attack without hesitation. They’re killing machines, built for one purpose: destruction. You’ll find them everywhere, on land, in the air, in water and some have even adapted to life in toxic zones. Worse still, they continue to evolve and breed.
There are rumors, though. Some say they’ve encountered monsters that can speak or use human tools. Others claim that monsters are becoming smarter, capable of thinking, even organizing into groups. But that’s just a rumors... right?
Aside from the bloodthirsty ones, there are gentler, herbivorous monsters out there. They’re still hard to kill thanks to their resilience, but at least they’re not as dangerous as the carnivores. Sometimes, people even manage to domesticate them, using them for farming or as beasts of burden.
PEOPLE live in isolated settlements. Some focus on raising animals, using herbivorous monsters, and farming to maintain a peaceful, self-sufficient community. Others are dedicated to uncovering old technology or creating new innovations to use against monsters or even other settlements. There are also the religious communities, believing that monsters are either divine beings sent by gods or punishments for humanity’s sins. To make things right, they often offer sacrifices, sometimes of innocent people.
There are countless settlements, but some have chosen a nomadic lifestyle, constantly traveling between communities to trade. Traders often have their own secret paths and symbols to communicate with one another, and they frequently use these to warn others of nearby dangers.
And then there are those who roam alone, either by choice, embracing a solitary journey through dangerous lands, or because they’ve been cast out. More often than not, these solitary wanderers are outcasts or madmen, deemed too dangerous to remain with others. The unspoken rule is simple: if someone’s traveling alone, it’s usually not worth the risk of meeting them.
